On-Demand Manufacturing & Materials

Every Kugglab focus gear ring is custom-engineered and manufactured on demand to your exact lens specifications using solid, high-grade TPU 95A polymer. Each ring is individually modeled with a 0.8 MOD cine pitch, dual-sided lead-in chamfers, and smooth tooth profiles for seamless follow focus operation.

  • Production Lead Time: Orders are typically modeled, printed, quality-inspected, and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days.

Shipping & Transit Times

All orders are packaged in protective padded mailers and dispatched directly from Sweden via PostNord.

  • Sweden: 1 to 3 business days.
  • Europe & International: 3 to 8 business days (Priority Airmail).
  • Customs & Duties: International buyers outside the EU are responsible for any local customs duties or import taxes if applicable.

Custom Fit & Return Policy

Because each gear ring is individually engineered and crafted to the exact millimeter dimensions specified for your lens, standard returns or refunds due to customer measurement errors cannot be accepted (in accordance with statutory exemptions for custom-made goods). Please measure your focus ring carefully using digital calipers according to our Guide before placing an order.

The Kugglab Fit & Quality Guarantee

We stand behind our engineering. If your gear ring arrives with a manufacturing defect, material flaw, or fails to fit despite being produced to your accurately submitted diameter, contact us with your order details and a reference photo. We will immediately model and dispatch a corrected replacement ring free of charge.

Equipment Safety & Limitation of Liability

Kugglab focus gear rings are precision accessories engineered for manual and motorized follow focus systems. By purchasing and installing our gear rings, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Fitment & Force: Rings are designed for an engineered friction fit and must slide onto the lens barrel with firm hand pressure. Never force an undersized ring onto an optic.
  • Motor Torque & Calibration: Wireless follow focus motors (such as Tilta, DJI, or SmallRig) must always be calibrated at appropriate torque settings with electronic end-stops set on vintage mechanics.
  • Liability Exclusions: Kugglab assumes no liability for damage to lenses, internal helicoids, mechanical stops, coatings, or focus motors resulting from forced fitment, incorrect calibration, or excessive motor torque.
